Anyone who would not want their child to have the honor of being a friend or neighbor of my son simply because he has ADHD is a fool. You can speak with anyone who knows him…he is popular, very witty, outgoing, energetic, imaginative, insightful and compassionate. These are also characteristics of the ADHD. Yes, we have issue we deal with. I have been crouched in the corner crying from frustration…alot of mom’s whose kids don’t have ADHD have been there too! I know that with love, patience and commitment those times are far outweighed by the good.

Very interesting article. I was aware that Ty Pennington stated that he was diagnosed with ADHD and is very open about it. I had not heard about him speaking at this elementary school. That is such a classy thing to do. Ty certainly is out to help other people, both with his TV show and personal appearances.

I have a daugther she have ADHD and Bisoply, and another one thing I can’t remember so when long time ago was last in 2005. she had out of control by herself about not to commuantion with a parent of me and I had hard time with her take me been 3 yrs and finally she break out of ADHD so she and I learned though about to control and take her time to get better for sreavel months this year so I hope she is doing ok now!

Paul,
As I was surfing the web I noticed that under an article in Google that stated Michael Phelp”s great grandfather is one of the famous Spence Brothers who were Olympic swimmers in the 1920 and 30s. How can I verify this info as I am granddaughter of Wally Spence who was part of that famous swimming family. It would be very helpful to me if I can get some concrete evidence before I try to contact the Phelps family.
