Robert Locke may well be an enthusiast but has his facts totally wrong.
ADD is the term used in DSM3, ADHD is the term used in the later DSM4, they are essentially the same entity.
The really alarming thing about this article is that the author is a functional illiterate who has not read anything that is current and first hand (Peer Reviewed scientific papers). Locke is the exemplar of Sturgeon's Law

The problem with Strattera is that it is only effective in 20% of people with ADHD according to the company's own studies and you have to titrate on it since it is an antidepressant (which is what it was originally being tested for). I was also put on that, it caused worse seizures than I had with Ritalin and when I needed to be stepped down I nearly had to be committed because of the suicidal and homicidal side effects. The doctors don't even seem to KNOW about those side effects.

My hat is off to anyone who can tolerate it.

Parents around the world have found that homeopathy works wonders in treating their children for a wide array of health problems, and ADHD is just one of them.

Two randomized, double-blinded, placebo controlled trials and one observation study conclude that homeopathic treatment has positive effects in children with ADHD particularly in the areas of behavioral and cognitive functions.

Here is a second study published in the peer-reviewed European Journal of Pediatrics which compares responses to placebo and to the homeopathic remedy. It shows that responses to the remedy were superior to responses to placebo and concludes that the homeopathic treatment is effective. It also references other studies coming to the same positive conclusion about homeopathic treatment of ADHD.

This is a wonderful article describing what homeopathy can achieve for children with ADHD.

People interested in studies on the homeopathic treatment of ADHD will find one at:

www.nationalcenterforhomeopathy.org/articles-research

It shows that children can have significant improvement of their symptoms through homeopathy.

In the U.S. Ritalin and Adderall are included with morphine and opium as Class II drugs due to their high potential for abuse leading to severe psychological and physical dependence.

Since vaccines caused ADHD as they cause autism spectrum completely, Pharma should pay for all treatment, instead of paying lawyers, politicians, media , medical and other science based journals and mainstream medicine to lie and cover it up.

Yeah sure melatonin replacement for medication for ADHD.

I came here because I searched for an alternative to methylphenidate, because I get high blood pressure as an side effect from methyphenidate.

However besides being treated with methylphenidate I'm treated with melatonin. But melatonin is by no means an replacement for the drugs. They are used to treat way different symptoms.

Melatonin is used for threating the sleepcycle, it's even given for treatment of jetlag. It's said to be safe. And that is true if you use melatonin in a short period. However patients having ADHD seems to safely use melatonin continuously.

Methylphenidate or amphetamine that is given for ADHD is affecting the balance of available dopamine in connection between synapses and neurons. Melatonin has no affekt on this at all. Melatonin just helps your child to get a good nights sleep. And should be given just shortly before bed time.

Don't waste your child's life on herbs that will not help him much at all. I had a difficult childhood and got my diagnosis late in life. I just hope that I would have gotten real medication earlier in my life.

An child who has ADHD and doesnt get proper medication early in life are in great risk for starting self medication true the black market. And instead of that zoombie you will highly likely have a criminal drug abuser on your conciense
